what are some your favorite old school death metal bands? Old school shit is( usally) not as brutal as todays death metal but if it wernt for many of the old school bands, brutal death metal would not exist.

Id have to say, in no order:
morbid angel
cannibal corpse
death
CARCASS
sinister
grave
vader
MALEVOLENT CREATION

I still listen to quite a bit of the old school stuff. These bands have stood the test of time and still kick ass even now.

i totally love the old school sound in my dm.
but to be completely honest, the best "old school" death metal bands are very modern indeed.

bands like the german necrotic flesh and that other german band ancient existance is playing the old school dm better than the proper old school bands.

check them out, you wont be dissapointed i promise.
