Do keep music playing while sleeping?

Nope... I used to when I was younger.. The glory days of being a teenager..
Wife Sleeps with a fan on even in winter, I used to hate it when we started dating
and when we first moved in together But now I like the white noise of the fan spinning.

So much that I turn it on even when if I go to sleep before here. haha Funny how almost 7 years changes your perspective. 

Funny you mention fan. My wife does the same, and i agree, the white noise of the fan is pretty nice. But i still like a mix of the fan and Brutal/Technical death metal.

Wife hates any kind of Metal.. except for Acid Bath... Their is no way in hell she would want music on

when i was in high school i turn on my cassette and listen to metal just to drown the voices in my head. but now that i have my own house i turn off everything to conserve electricity.

I like to put in my headphones to go to sleep sometimes.. It's kind of awkward though, because they fall out easily.

If i'm listening to music it's either black or melodic - maybe some progressive - however, I usually turn on Discovery to go to sleep. Something about their narrators' voices' just lulls me on in.

Yes, but it's usually some neofolk or dark ambient. Stoner / sludge / doom / whatever metal is also good if you are about to pass out.

i like fallin asleep to music,well more passing out  to music. but waking up to anything always annoys me ill try to sleep through it but it gets to much so i have to shut it off. the worst so far was waking up to cemetery rapists first disc, dear god

I used to do it until my computer crashed. Now I've only got a latop and it doesn't work listening to musc on that piece of shit without some good headphones. I used to listen to post-rock (such as Mono, Dvalà, Yndi Halda and so on), ambient (like Ildjarn's Hardangervidda, Brian Eno, Carl Sagan's Ghost and so on) and atmospheric black (or extreme) metal (like Wolves in the Throne Room, Weakling, Moonsorrow, Alcest, Woods of Desolation and so on). Took me quite a while to be able to fall asleep without music, and when I sleep I don't feel as good in the morning when falling asleep without music as with. A lot more tired and worn out to be honest.
