Ok, so in 2011 I didn't get to see as many shows as I would have liked; but the ones I was able to go see made for an interesting variety:

Burton Cummings
Anvil
Cancer Bats
3 Inches Of Blood
Arcade Fire
U2 (This one was actually free. The tickets were a birthday gift for my gf from her parents. Not a fan, but it was an impressive show).

Only went to one concert last year and that was the Welcome to Hell Tour. My friends made me go haha, Im an Acacia Strain and I Declare War fan so I liked it, but was pleasantly surprised by how good the other bands are live:

That was a killer show in my opinion. Went when it came by Seattle with a few of my friends.  !!^^!! !!^^!!
